Where to park for The Great Birmingham 10K Run

Fancy a challenge?  Then get your running shoes on and join thousands of others for the Simplyhealth Great Birmingham 10K Run on Sunday 26 May 2019.   Now in its fifth year and with a new route, the event is open to anyone over the age of 15 and costs just £28 to enter.

Many runners raise funds for charities while others see it as part of working towards the Simplyhealth Great Birmingham Run which takes place later in the year on Sunday 13 October 2019.  Or you might just want to complete a new fitness goal.  Whatever your motivation, the Great Birmingham 10K Run could be just the thing you’re looking for.

Soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the camaraderie.  You can choose to walk, jog or run, and once signed-up you’ll get a free pack which will include a timing chip so that you get an accurate result of your run time.   Finishers will also be given an exclusive medal, T-shirt and a goodie-filled finishers pack.

The route for this year’s 10K Run takes in city centre landmarks  including the Apple store, the stunning grade II-listed building built in 1869; the Rotunda; the Bullring; Birmingham Children’s Hospital and the much anticipated new Primark Pavilions development on High Street, anchored by the world’s biggest Primark store.

The Run has two start lines – both on Colmore Row, either side of its junction with Bennetts Hill.

There will be support along the way, including a drink station and bands on the run, not to mention the encouragement of thousands of supporters and spectators lining the route.
