Samuel Rogers playing at The Grey Lantern, Birmingham

You’ve heard it down the grapevine and now you’ve heard it from us!

Musician and Singer, Samuel Rogers will be performing at The Grey Lantern this March 2020. Born and bred in Brum, the singer songwriter and guitarist will be performing the first of many upcoming gigs at The Grey Lantern. He has been spreading his music around the UK since the age of 16, playing at some top live venues such as the Hare & Hounds, Actress & Bishop, O2 Academy, Adam & Eve, Sunflower Lounge and the list goes on!

In 2013 he formed his own band, The Samuel Rogers Band known as The S.R.B. Together they released two lo-fi live EPs ‘Turn It Up!!!’ and ‘It’s On!!!’, as well as Singles ‘Somewhere With The Angels’, ‘Liven Up’ and ‘Find My Way’; gaining BBC airplay and grabbing the attention of many fans from around the UK. The band later dismembered in 2016.

Rogers has since been performing solo gigs in and round the West Midlands as well as various parts of the UK with a greatly versatile take on music, ranging from Rock & Roll, Funk & Soul, Folk, Psychedelic Rock and more! He has supported the likes of Steve Cradock (Ocean Colour Scene), The Spitfires, The Moons and Stone Foundation.

He has released a number of solo demos and home recordings on his YouTube channel and Soundcloud page, and released double A Side Single including ‘Screensaver’ and ‘Come Outside’ in 2016, on which he collaborated with former S.R.B bass-slapping right-hand man Chris Moulton and lifelong Beatboxing friend Rich FX. He went on to form experimental music project ‘White Flag Dares’ along with Chris and Rich, with the addition of Jack Mansell on Guitar in 2018. Their first EP ‘We Dare Ya!’ was produced by Samuel; gaining BBC airplay with their track ‘In Our World’, and have since released Singles ‘Little Shorty’ and ‘Esse’. What will 2020 bring?
