Crash! Bang! Wallop! Sounds a bit like when you leave the little ones to their own devices!
Well this time you can join in with them and make it a fun experience for both you and your fussy tots with CBSO Notelets!
Notelets concerts are the perfect way for fidgety feet to get up, get moving and make some serious noise! Specially designed to appeal to their youngest audience members, it is a great interactive musical experience where you and the children can dance, sing along and join in the show!
We all know toddlers are already star players when it comes to hitting things, shaking things and making sure they’re heard for miles! This gives them the chance to get moving and grooving in the enthusiastic way we all know they like to do.
The great thing about each notelet concert is they’re based around a specific theme, providing a clear structure for all the children and incorporating music and stories all relating to the theme, keeping the littles one eyes and ears peeled to the stage! Recent performances have included Under the Sea, Hooting and Tooting, I’ve Got Rhythm and Christmas Crackers.
This toddler-friendly mini-concert features the CBSO percussion section: there’ll be bite-sized music and lots to see. Every Notelets performance is presented by an experienced CBSO musician and creative practitioner who devises each concert. With their engaging and enthusiastic presentation style, it helps draw the young audience and their grown-ups into the concert, helping them become part of the performance through dance, action songs, games and digital presentation.
The fun doesn’t just happen during the performance! A FREE craft activities session takes place from an hour before the concert, inspired by the theme of the performance, providing children with a personal memento of the concert. And it doesn’t end there either! At the end of the performance there is also a chance to meet the musicians and see their instruments close up and give the children a go at striking a chord or two!
