The countdown for Christmas 2019 in Birmingham will officially begin with the opening of the Birmingham German Christmas Market on Thursday 7 November 2019. An abundance of stalls will open their shutters to generate a fantastic atmosphere and unique outdoor festive shopping experience.
The hugely popular festive market is the largest outdoor Christmas market in the UK, and will draw crowds from across Birmingham and further afield. It offers a wide range of traditional handmade gifts from around the world, and plenty of food and drink to tickle the taste buds; from German mulled wine (Gluhwein), pretzels and schnitzels through to bratwurst and roasted almonds. It runs from Thursday 7 November to Monday 23 December from 10am-9pm every day.
This year will see the market covering the grounds of Victoria Square and New Street. Weekends tend to be the busiest times, but great if you want to enjoy the bustling festive atmosphere.
